The word "Bogal" in translation from Ossetian means "strongman". This is the name of the annual and absolutely free sports events that took place last weekend, June 21-22, in the republic. I didn't know anything about it before, but this format really touched my heart.♥
My task at Bogal on Saturday was a photo finish at the notional summit of Mount Tarskaya. That is, I had to catch each participant at the finish line in photographs to double-check the judges' protocols. This was not easy for me, because as a photographer I am used to changing the angle often and a lot. After this short run (about half an hour on average), the participants went down to the sports ground to take the exercises: pull-ups, push-ups, burpees. I have never seen such a packed sports ground in my life) It looked very unusual. In the realities of our life, you often meet such groups near bars or cafes. But here the party was exclusively on the physical education theme: people worked on themselves, overcame, supported, discussed nuances. In general, even the air was charged with this energy - it threw me with a camera on the monkey bars :) After such a busy day, the culmination awaited the participants on Sunday: a half marathon for the "Bogal" or a marathon "for the soul". By the way, despite the fact that the competitions are free, the prizes are very pleasant for the pocket (1st place for men, for example, is 100,000 rubles).
